Greetings Guild Wars Heroes! I posted up on here before, asking people who've played as necromancers or ritualists to answer a couple of questions (and I got back quite a bunch of varied responses!). I am writing a research piece on Guild Wars and focusing on dying & morality within the game. I would love to hear some of your own personal stories, as Heroes, about your experiences with either.
If any of you have any interesting stories about the following:
- your own character death that affected or irritated you in some way (either in a PvP or PvE environment)
-the death of other players that affected you
-the death experience of your group or guild
-the death stories that are already part of your community lore
-or your general opinion on character death in MMORPGs.
OR random acts of kindness in which:
-you shared objects or imparted some helpful knowledge to players
-other players shared objects and tips that helped you out
-you saved other players from potential death
-other players saved you from potential death
-moral obligations that are generally held throughout the community
please feel free to write and submit them at the following link:
These can be stories of your own heroic pursuit in saving others, your own tragic failure, or a casual story about that awesome Monk who gave you some new armory (it's up to you!). They can be as long or as short as you want. I appreciate very much anyone who is willing to participate in this. I am looking forward to hearing about your player's experience. All authors of the stories (if you choose to put down your name) will be kept anonymous. More information about this study can be found at the link I provide above.

For my character, death is only an annoyance. I've died so many times, over so many characters, that death holds none of the deeper meaning it has when we're talking about real people.
Interesting idea though. I'll try to think up something to write on.
